Je'mille Newby ~ JN

Je'mille Newby works at CCS, Community Care Services. she a therapist at a high school and a elementary school. This is important to the community because she helps kids. Kids come to her if they are feeling down, they share with Mrs. Newby. She does activities with them to make them feel better.

Mrs. Newby works hard at her job. She took classes in college at Oakland University to become a therapist. She gives kids coping skills. She said, “Coping skills are very helpful to use in a situation if you are upset.” Some examples of coping skills are things like taking a break to refresh your mind, meditating if you’re feeling down, and try to learn from your mistakes.

Mrs. Newby to the community because she is affecting the community by helping kids. She hopes the kids will use their coping skills that they learn, and do better. She wants kids and teenagers to learn and do their best when they grow up to have a good life. Mrs. Newby deserves a lot of credit for her hard work. She was asked what she would do with one million dollars. She said, “I will pay bills, do a family vacation, give some extra money to my family, and use the rest to buy a new house."  We are luck to have Je'mille as a member of our community.
